Blackberry Raspberry Crumble



2 6-ounce packages fresh raspberries
2 6-ounce packages fresh blackberries
1-1/2 cups sugar
zest of 1 lemon
2 cup all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1-1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
2 cups milk
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup butter, melted


  1. Place berries in glass bowl. Cover with sugar and lemon zest and let sit for 30 minutes, until a syrup forms.
  2. In a large glass bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and vanilla and stir. Add melted butter and mix well.
  3. Pour flour mixture into an 8 inch baking dish that you’ve sprayed with non-stick baking spray.
  4. Spoon berries onto flour mixture and bake for 50-60 minutes, until dough has risen and is golden in color.
