Toasted Walnut and Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Ingredients

2-1/4 CUPS ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
1-1/2 TEASPOONS KOSHER SALT
1 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER
1 CUP DARK BROWN SUGAR
1/2 CUP GRANULATED SUGAR
1 CUP CRISCO BUTTER FLAVORED BAKING STICKS (1 STICK)
1-1/2 TEASPOONS VANILLA EXTRACT
2 EGGS
1-1/4 CUPS CHOCOLATE CHUNKS
1 CUPS DARK CHOCOLATE CHIPS
1 CUP TOASTED WALNUTS, CHOPPED

Directions

  1. Combine flour, salt and baking soda in a bowl and whisk. Set aside.
  2. In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream together Crisco butter stick, brown sugar, granulated sugar and vanilla until creamy. Add eggs and beat.
  3. Slowly add dry ingredients and mix.
  4. Stir in chocolate chunks, chocolate chips, and toasted walnuts.
  5. Place bowl in the refrigerator for an hour to chill.
  6. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and line your sheet pans with parchment paper.
  7. Drop dough by rounded teaspoon onto baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 12 minutes, checking after 10. Switch pans halfway through.
